A lot of golfers have inconsistant swing planes. Maybe you are looking for improvement like me . I seriously started looking for ways to improve my swing plane, swing speed, and consistency . This was when I first learned how to swing in a better and more consistent plane. In keeping with the general theme of this site, I thought I would list 3 swing tips to help with your swing plane and your overall swing .

1. Here is a very good drill to help you feel what the correct swing plane feels like. Address a ball at the range’ without a club. Next, point to the ball with your left hand, and pull back your right arm like you’re going to shoot an arrow right thru the ball. This position is the correct position. The plane of your shoulders points at the ball. Now, hold this position, then raise your arms so you point a couple of feet above the ball. See how this golf swing plane feels wrong ? (Too flat .) Now move your arms so you’re pointing at your left toe . Do you feel how this swing plane is too upright? Next, lets go back to pointing at the ball. Turn like you’re starting your backswing, slowly. It’ll be hard to turn totally, but you can still feel the right way to come back on the proper swing plane. Now, put both of your hands together pointing at the ball. Pull your right hand back once again to the shooting arrow position. Go back and forth a bunch of times. This is how the proper backswing (on plane) should feel.

2. To feel a correct swing plane, address a golf ball on the driving range and lift your club to waist level, like you’re going to hit a baseball. Take a couple of baseball swings and feel how around the swing feels. It’s just a turn, back and around. Now imagine a giant pane of glass through your shoulders, arms, grip and club. Swing along this swing plane. Go in a circlular motion, not in a straight line. Drop the club. Now start with your hands together at address position. Leave your left hand pointing at the ball, and bring your right hand back to the top. Now swing down with your right hand and clap. It’s a circular motion, like opening and closing a door. Do this a bunch of times and see how it feels. Now, swing normally and still feel the circular motion. Coil and recoil, the swing is circular, not a straight line back and forward .

3. Anybody want to hit the ball further? Your number one source of power and increased swing speed, is the coiling and uncoiling of your core (your entire body). The best golfers revolve their body to the right on the backswing, and begin their downswing with the hips. A high percentage of golfers think their clubhead speed should max out when you hit the ball. This is false. Your maximum clubhead speed should occur after you hit the ball. That’s the way Tiger Woods and all the other best pros do it. This ensures that your swing speed is accelerating as you hit the ball. You know deceleration is bad. To do this, start your downswing with your hips. Many golfers start the downswing with their hands. Your transition starts before you reach the top, Your hands are still moving back, and your hips are already loading downward. You can’t begin your downswing with your hands, this causes coming over the top and of course, slicing . The lower body starts, the hands will follow along later on.

Golf is really popular at the moment, and to most people it looks really easy to play, but if you get out there to play a round for the first time you’ll quickly realize it is harder than it looks! The popularity of Tiger Woods has certainly given the game a boost in popularity over the recent years, but I also think it is popular because it is a relaxing game both to watch and to play.

With other sports like football and baseball then if you want to have a game you need lots of people and there will be lots of running around, with golf then you can go by yourself or with some close friends and have a relaxing day out in the sun and enjoy yourself. That doesn’t mean you don’t have to put any effort in though, if you want to win at anything then you will need to practice and learn the skills required to succeed, below are two ways you can improve your golf game:

Meditation:

Golf requires a lot of mental discipline if you want to play it well. You need to be able to ignore anybody talking around you or any noises from outside of the course (traffic noise etc) and probably taunts coming from your golf buddies as they try to put you off your shot too! You also need to stop your muscles tensing up because that will ruin your swing and your ball will end up in a tree somewhere, and you need to focus on the ball to make sure you connect correctly, all this needs to be done while under pressure not to mess up in front of anyone you came with.

For some people then it is second nature and they have no problem with this, but for the rest of us then putting in some effort to learn how to calm yourself and focus will really help you out on the course. Meditation is a great way to learn how to focus and relax, you can actually learn it easily from a book, but it will take a few tries before you can actually get your mind to settle down. Once you break through the chatter in your mind and learn to clear it, then you will probably thoroughly enjoy the process, and you will be able to focus a lot more during your day too. Then when you go to take a shot on the course you can use the same techniques to calm yourself and focus.

Work your core:

I said earlier that golf is not too strenuous, but it does take a toll on your core body muscles even if you are not running around all the time like in some sports.

We use our core muscles all day long to stabilize us as we walk, help us to sit down and stand up, and in everything from picking something up off a table to swinging that golf club as hard as we can, yet hardly anybody trains that area of their body. I don’t just mean doing situps either, I mean working your lower back, your oblique muscles and your main abs so you have a strong core that both supports your spine and protects your organs, but also allows you to give more power into your swing. You can find exercises for your core muscles easily online and start to slowly train them over the next few weeks, you might be surprised by how much better your swing is after you do!

If you want to improve your golf game then you need the best golf irons for your playing style, find out more information at TheBestGolfIrons.com.

So the time has come and you’re ready to get out onto the Golf course and show the world you’re the next Greg Norman . For this you’ll be wanting the perfect golf swing. There are several ways you’ll want to assess yourself, several strengths you’ll want to bring forth to realise your golfing potential .

Firstly , we need to think about improving your range of motion, muscle strength, proper balance, endurance, aerobic capacity, and core strength, . You’ll need to be tough , have lots of toughness and be flexible to hone better golf strokes and get round the course in as few shots as possible.

In a typical round of golf , you’ll spend hours repeatedly swinging and testing your muscles . You’ll also be bending over all the time. All this can put a big strain on your back, and big strain on your back can mean back problems if you are getting it wrong The spine and it’s surrounding muscles are particularly at risk. A good excercise regime, however will help you both avoid back pain and fortify your muscles, thus helping you to improve your perfect golf swing. As you’ll know, your golf swing is central to your skill level and muscle or back pain can and does adversely affect your swing.

If you want to avoid this it is advisable to implement a golf-specific flexibility regime. In order to make this work for us, we should : Implement the program at least four days a week; excercise your golf fitness regime for 10-15 minutes per session; pay strict attention to any techniques you study and – most importantly – always be sure that your health is good when you begin any excercise regime and consult your doctor before embarking on any new excercise.

The lower back, hamstrings and shoulders can often be problem areas for the amateur golfer . Tense muscles in these areas often result in the golfer attempting to compensate within their golf swing. It should be clear then that if we can take on these problem areas, we’ll be improving our golf swing in no time!

Any exercises need to be regularly repeated – this will – improve your muscles good habits. Once you’re regularly exercising you’ll be loosening your shoulders, hips and back you’ll be letting those all important muscles to act in the ways most helpful to perfecting your golf swing .

Clearly it’s not in the remit of this article to go into the level of detail we need to safely guide you through golf excercises, but a visit to to the perfect golf swing online website will open you up to a wealth of information and resources to perfect your golf game forever!

Bon chance and meet you for a drink at the 19th hole!

How often have you been frustratingly near to making an important putt only to come up short?

Or perhaps you have only just missed the pin to observe your ball go sailing past having an excessive amount of distance to make the next golf putt.

Numerous golf games are usually lost on the golf putting green and in most instances it is often due to the incorrect distance, as opposed to the path of the golf ball.

A good number of newbies quickly obtain a feel for the direction the ball will probably travel, even on sloping greens.

You’ve probably witnessed it yourself in cases where a novice to the game strikes the ball within inches of the golf hole on the sloping green repeatedly.

What we won’t see quite so often will be the golf ball stopping a few inches past the golf hole whenever they miss.

There are many factors which will come in to consideration as you’re determining the distance a golf ball could travel on the green, from the slope, with preparation of the green in addition to whether it is wet and slow or dry and fast.

I know it can make a very big difference depending on the time of the day with the greens getting quicker while they dry off from the afternoon sunshine.

Hence understanding the distance of a golf putt is actually precisely what you should concentrate on for you to get your golf ball to drop in that hole.

Once again all of it comes back again to practice and there’s absolutely no more suitable practice than on the day for the match with the conditions you happen to be playing in.

You should take the time to get a couple of practice putts before you begin play in order to ‘dial in’ your length.

A very important factor you must always remember; the golf ball will not drop if it doesn’t reach the hole.

Seems too obvious to even require mentioning right, but more often than not putts will certainly come up short.

Always aim for the rear of the hole so that, as long as you have your path correct, you are going to have a chance of making the putt.

Learn the step by step golfing technique formula for mastering the art of putting and easily cut 9 to 11 strokes off your very next round of golf by visiting this site:Golf Putting Instruction and visit golf products for your equipment.

Golf is one of those sports which can be very rewarding and very frustrating at the same time. Your swing is one of the hardest things to perfect; and many say that you never really perfect it but instead there’s a continual process of improvement. At least this is the idea – you may find yourself trying and trying, only to have something go slightly wrong. Once you do hit that ideal drive, it’s a gratifying thing except for that nagging question of why all your drives can’t go so smoothly.

It is your golf swing technique which makes all the difference in how your drives go. As in bowling or baseball, there is something of a science to a good swing; it’s all a matter of learning what works best for you. Naturally, it’s harder than it looks on paper, but the following tips may help you to find the golf swing technique which best suits your game.

A golf swing has three parts: backswing, downswing and follow through. All three of these elements have to flow into one fluid motion and all three must be worked on in order to achieve this. Many golfers find it easiest to practice each component of their swing on its own.Unless you are already a more or less expert golfer, then you will usually do best using the same stance for every swing. Stand with your feet apart just enough to form a straight line with your shoulders and bend your knees just enough to remain balanced while you shift your weight moving through the backswing.

You may also want to stick with the same grip. For those who are less expert golfers, then you’ll want to use a simple interlocking grip which is just tight enough to keep control over your club as you swing while having enough give to make your swing work.

Remember that when you’re playing a round of golf that this is also a time that you can use to get some practice in. Although you should not repeatedly try out your techniques when it would get in the way of other players, take every opportunity to practice your golf swing technique.

There are a lot of different things which go into building a winning golf swing technique. The tips here are only a start – there is a lot more which you’ll want to work on, but these basics can help you to take your golf swing and your entire game to the next level.

Golf is certainly an individual game. The fundamentals are identical for anyone; nonetheless, due to the differences within peoples body types no 2 people can actually have the very same golf swing. Each individual must adapt their body to carry out a proper golf swing within their own means. Spending some time to develop your own means of playing golf will probably considerably enhance your satisfaction as well as success at the game. Rehearsing the basic essentials of the game till they are ingrained in your muscular areas will bring on self-confidence on the green, and this assurance will lead to success along with gratification of the game.

Among the nearly all simple actions that you could put into action and see an immediate advancement to ones golf swing is to hold ones head still and glance directly at the golf ball. The placement of your head must be straight in line with your back, and a person’s nose should be brought up up somewhat to ensure that once you begin to swing, a person’s left shoulder fits underneath ones chin. Quite a few competitors tuck their heads into their chests in an attempt to hold their head still and glance directly down at the golf ball. The fact is, they can’t perform a proper golf swing while in this posture.

If you are among the many which are having trouble keeping your head straight and an eye on the golf ball consider the following. The very next time you approach the ball, assume the correct position with your toes and knees in placement but keep your head and back straight, bend forward a little at the waistline and glance straight at the golf ball. If you try and take a swing in this situation, ones left shoulder will likely smack ones face. While maintaining ones eyes on the ball, elevate your head little by little until your left shoulder does not strike a person’s chin. Make sure that a person’s head does not move back and forth by keeping your eyes fixed on the ball. Slowly go through the backswing and forward swing portions of your golf swing. Don’t hit the ball and do the follow through. Practice this part of ones golf swing focusing on keeping ones head straight and eyes on the ball.

Perform this activity in your backyard for approximately twenty five times consecutively after which take a rest and rest a bit, then begin again. Make small modifications to your head and body position as needed to maintain your eyes straight on the golf ball and your left shoulder from striking your face. This workout will certainly “train” ones body, and a person’s muscles will certainly “recall” the proper placement you need to be in to execute the movement the right way. Think of any sports athlete, they train and train to place their body in the proper stance and position to correctly execute the motions needed to achieve success within their individual game. You are doing the same thing simply by “training” your body to maintain your head straight and position itself to be able to effectively perform an ideal golf swing.

Another basic step that may work significantly towards strengthening a person’s golf swing is usually to chill out. Yes, it is simpler mentioned then done, specifically when you’re getting ready to put all your power into drive with an audience of possibly a person’s co-workers, or even better your close friends who will definitely not let you forget it when you screw up. However, unwinding your muscles will help you to maintain the correct balance that’s essential to a great golf swing. Regardless of the clubs you use, a person’s balance is the primary foundation of your golf swing, and exactly how to obtain great stability is to practice. The best way to practice improving ones balance would be to assume the address position with your club, loosen up your body and try holding it there for approximately 30 seconds. Did it seem like you have more weight on one foot or perhaps the other? Is a single part of your body a lot more tight then another?

Always keeping ones head straight and sustaining good balance are merely 2 fundamental components of an excellent golf swing. The actual exercises offered above are just two ways that you can start training now to improve a person’s golf swing. You can focus on either one separately, or blend them together into one exercise. Strengthening your golf swing starts and finishes with you. Training the muscles of ones body to correctly perform specific movements takes some time and practice. Your time and effort spent enhancing your golf swing will probably pay off on the course. Through exercise and practice, you will be able to slip into the proper address position and accomplish an trouble-free, powerful golf swing and really feel just as if you were sliding your palm into a comfortable soft glove.

Golf clubs are a few of the most high-priced accessories to obtain when it comes to sporting goods. Even so, there is no reason why they really should be this way. Costly golf night clubs normally have a lot more technology and additional functions, but for the average golfer it is usually a complete waste of money. It really is doable to get night clubs at a reasonable rate. The surprising point is that most from the time these clubs will probably be even far better for you than the much more pricey ones. Read on to find out about a number of the factors why you must stick with cheaper groups, as well as a few of the spots which you can buy them.

For a beginning golfer, the temptation to get far more costly clubs comes from the illusion that they are going to improve the skill as if by magic. The truth is that an awesome golf club requires an incredible technique to be able to make it work as desired. Expensive golf groups are created so that they are a lot more efficient and less forgiving.
Secondhand groups are also a very good method to save income and nevertheless get some nice groups. Should you golf with people who like to stay on the cutting edge of technology, they’re most likely to have older clubs which are still of a incredibly high quality level. Speak with them about buying the utilised golf groups. With utilised golf night clubs it is advisable to be particularly careful, and appear for anything that would compromise the excellent in the night clubs. At times when used adequate, even golf groups will wear out and become nearly unusable. Prior to any dollars exchanges hands, take the clubs out for a test game. If you are a good friend with the individual who you would like to purchase from, they may even let you use the night clubs for a longer period of time.

So where do you find older models of clubs, or applied groups? Auctions and pawn shops are two in the best locations to go for golf groups of this kind. Golf night clubs are practically a staple of auctions, and you are most likely to own at least one choice. If you ever spend many time at auctions, you can be able to have quite several distinct options for golf night clubs. You might merely have to learn to recognize golf clubs and judge whether they are a worthy investment. The identical goes with pawn shops. If you’re capable to recognize the features that you simply desire in a golf club, you will have endless opportunities to check for these in different venues. Should you end up finding clubs that fit with what you are looking for, they will probable be a great deal less expensive than in the event you had bought them at a retail store.

Inexpensive golf groups are quite doable to come by, but these are really risky at the exact same time.

Any golfer , including the professionals, has difficult times related to the longer irons . The old saying “the longer the club, the harder it is to hit” has been true since the beginning of golf time. Any golfer struggles to make clean contact with long clubs and hit the ball in the intended direction . It is just common sense that the greater the distance between your hands and the club head the more difficult it is to make it do what you want. Consider the difference in control of a one foot long club and a ten foot long club. That is a gross exaggeration, but it illustrates the point.

If you go to PGA events , or watch them on TV, you will notice that many of the pros carry 1 or 2 hybrid irons. They want that extra advantage by replacing some long iron shots. Lee Trevino said it best when he said “in a thunderstorm, I hold a 1-iron over my head because even God can’t hit a 1-iron”.

Hybrid irons are built on iron shafts, at iron shaft lengths, but have heads that are a combined hybrid design of an iron and a wood. That design provides the best in ball striking advantage. Hybrid clubs are now being offered by many manufacturers in clubs from the #1 to the pitching wedge. These full sets of hybrids can be a big help for golfers, especially the ladies, who have difficulty in making clean contact with standard irons.

So, if you have not tried a hybrid yet, it is a good idea to start with a #2 or #3. Give it an honest effort with a hybrid from a supplier of discount golf clubs and you will see that it is easier to hit than the comparable standard iron. If the first one works out for you, consider replacing other long irons that may be causing you trouble.

Golf irons get old and obsolete and must be replaced after continued use. Maybe you’ve outgrown them or there useful live is history. When buying a new set there are four important specifications to consider to be sure to get the best clubs for your game.

1. Clubhead
The clubhead style can make a big difference in how well you strike the golf ball. There are two main types of clubhead styles, perimeter weighted and traditional blades. Perimeter weighted golf irons are more forgiving . What you sacrifice for this forgiveness is the ability to shape your shots with as much ease as the blade style . Most mid to high handicappers use this style of clubhead, although you do see them in some pros bags.

Forged style blades usually have a very small clubhead and a much smaller sweet spot. The advantage is that you can hit any shot with a blade style iron . When you hit it dead center in the sweet spot you barely feel it . It’s a great feeling. Low handicappers and pros usually use this style of club, because of the feel feedback .

2. Type of Shaft
This is normally a pretty easy decision. The two main choices are steel or graphite. There are some other exotic metals and nano fibers available but we are only dealing with the two most popular shafts . Graphite shafts have a slightly softer feel which is great for anybody that has bad wrists or elbows because they offset the vibration that is sent up the shaft and into your arms. Steel shafts give a little bit more feedback on how well you struck the shot and are very durable .

3. Shaft Flex
Shafts come in 4 basic flexes, regular, stiff, senior and lady. Your pro shop can determine your swing speed and suggest the proper shaft flex . The flex that is right for you will be so for steel or graphite material. Having the proper flex shafts is most important to your game.

4. What kind of grip
An often overlooked component of your new irons are the golf grips. There are many different types of material and sizes that can be installed. Some grips use space age polymers to give the grip a soft feel. Other grips are coarse with woven cord material throughout. Jumbo size grips are great for golfers with larger hands or arthritis. Keep these four points in mind when choosing your new golf clubs. Getting the correct golf equipment will help you shoot lower scores and increase your enjoyment.
